Celebrating Waldorf100 at the Fellowship Community

This past weekend was a flurry of celebratory activity in our greater community, marking the 100th anniversary of Rudolf Steiner's start of Waldorf education in the world. A markedly different approach to education was started in 1919 as an experiment for the children of cigarette factory workers in Stuttgart, Germany.

Since then, it has grown worldwide and we are lucky to have Green Meadow Waldorf School, the Otto Specht School and so many others here in our area that educate young people to develop "...the need of imagination, a sense of truth, and a feeling of responsibility, these three forces are the very nerve of education" (R. Steiner)

On Friday, 9/19/19 at 9:19 we joined hands to celebrate the first 100 years of Waldorf education in our world...
