Exciting news about the next steps of rebuilding Pine Lodge.
We are so grateful to the thousands of individuals who have offered support and donations to help the Fellowship Community after the fire that destroyed Pine Lodge in May of 2020.
Phase One Fundraising
Many of you donated generously to the Phase One fundraising campaign for Pine Lodge, and we are so thankful for your support! The goal of the Phase One campaign was to provide temporary auxiliary housing for displaced residents and to help replace lost items that were not covered by insurance.
Thanks to the loving support of 792 donors who contributed more than $340,000 in 2020, we exceeded our initial campaign goal, and ensured that all 13 residents of Pine Lodge were provided with temporary housing and basic needs.
Your donations allowed for the creation of 3 new Member apartments in Meadow Wood Lodge and Hilltop House, and 1 new Co-worker apartment in Garden House. These apartments helped to replace some of the housing that the community lost in the Pine Lodge fire.
Your donations also helped replace destroyed items that were not covered by insurance, and supported the Fellowship through an extremely difficult time.

New Building & Groundbreaking
Unfortunately, replacing Pine Lodge has been a far slower process than we originally imagined, affected by both supply chain delays and the rapidly rising costs of construction materials that were caused by the pandemic.
In 2021, the new Pine Lodge building was designed and approved by the Fellowship Community’s Board of Trustees. Over the last couple of months we have been in the process of finalizing the details, evaluating bids, and hiring a construction company to build the new Pine Lodge.
We are pleased to report that steady progress has been made, and we are finally getting close to breaking ground on the new building! Construction is set to begin on April 11th, and a groundbreaking ceremony will be held on Sunday April 10th at 11:30am at the site of Pine Lodge at the Fellowship Community. The event will be outside and all are welcome!
Fundraising for Pine Lodge
We are thrilled to report that after months of negotiations, the Fellowship has reached a settlement agreement with the insurance company on the final cost of the building.
We are expecting to need an additional $1,200,000 to build the new Pine Lodge in addition to what we will receive from insurance and from our Phase One fundraising. To date we've raised nearly $300,000 or 25% of the goal, thanks to the generosity of so many of you!
