Fellowship Community

Members

Those who are called “MEMBERS” are the older individuals who live, are active where possible, and cared for when needed. They bring a very essential ingredient for those who are younger and are in midlife. The “members” contribute about 35% of the income to the community in the form of different fees. About 40% of the members are economically vulnerable, which means they are on the very low side of the income scale. The fees of the community are kept as low as possible so that those who are economically under-privileged can live in a community care setting. Members contribute to a life lease as a lump sum which is reasonable and is given over to the community over a ten year period. In addition, there is a monthly fee which covers basic needs, and then for those where the care becomes more and more extensive there is a special sliding-scale care fee. The overall fee schedule is 30% of the usual fees on the market.
